About The Position

The Land Pipeline Sales Specialist plays a critical role in driving profitable growth across the Process & Pipeline Services (PPS) Pre-Commissioning & Maintenance portfolio within the North American land pipeline market. This position focuses on developing strategic customer relationships, identifying and securing pipeline service opportunities, and delivering commercial and technical solutions that address complex customer challenges throughout the pipeline lifecycle. Working closely with pipeline operators, EPC contractors, and project stakeholders, this role contributes to business growth, market expansion, and customer success.

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in pipeline services, integrity services, pre-commissioning, commissioning, inline inspection, or pipeline maintenance.
  • Have experience in sales, business development, account management, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Have strong knowledge of pipeline operator organizations and integrity management programs.
  • Have experience supporting pipeline maintenance and operational practices within the midstream industry.
  • Have experience using CRM systems and sales forecasting tools.
  • Have strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Have the ability to travel approximately 33% as required by business needs.
  • Have a valid driver's license and the ability to access customers and project sites.
  • Have experience selling engineered pipeline solutions or complex technical service offerings.
  • Have experience supporting or selling Inline Inspection (ILI), pipeline pigging, nitrogen services, chemical cleaning, integrity solutions, pre-commissioning, commissioning, or decommissioning services.
  • Have established relationships with North American midstream operators, EPC firms, or pipeline construction contractors.
  • Have a proven track record of achieving revenue growth and order intake targets.
  • Have strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage both operational and executive-level customer stakeholders.
  • Have excellent customer relationship management and strategic selling skills.
  • Have strong analytical capabilities and forecasting discipline.
  • Have the ability to translate technical solutions into compelling business value propositions.
  • Have demonstrated success by closing complex, multi-stakeholder sales opportunities.
  • Have the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing account growth strategies for land pipeline operators, EPC contractors, and pipeline construction customers.
  • Identifying and securing opportunities for specialized pipeline services including nitrogen displacement and purging operations.
  • Supporting inline inspection (ILI) tool-push scopes for offline runs and challenging operating conditions.
  • Driving pipeline decommissioning and abandonment project opportunities.
  • Promoting online and offline chemical cleaning solutions for pipeline systems.
  • Supporting pipeline cleaning, maintenance, and integrity management campaigns.
  • Managing opportunities involving pre-commissioning, commissioning, hydrotesting, dewatering, drying, and pipeline conditioning services.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with pipeline operations, engineering, integrity, maintenance, and project execution stakeholders.
  • Positioning Baker Hughes solutions early in project lifecycles to maximize specification opportunities.
  • Representing PPS-P&M during customer meetings, technical workshops, and industry conferences.
  • Leading the opportunity qualification process from identification through contract award.
  • Collaborating with engineering, operations, commercial, and proposal teams to develop competitive technical and commercial solutions.
  • Conducting commercial reviews, pricing discussions, risk assessments, and contract negotiations.
  • Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline while delivering annual revenue and order objectives.
  • Supporting strategic account planning and market-share growth initiatives.
  • Managing accurate opportunity data, customer activity, and sales forecasts through CRM systems.
  • Providing monthly, quarterly, and long-range sales forecasts to support business planning.
  • Monitoring market developments, competitor activities, and upcoming customer projects.
  • Developing account intelligence drives proactive customer engagement and growth opportunities.
  • Driving customer satisfaction, account retention, and long-term strategic partnerships.
