Bolton & Menk is seeking a Land Development Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 season. This internship offers practical on-the-job experience with private clients, focusing on design and construction phase activities for land development projects. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree program or closely related program from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 (desired GPA of 3.2 or above).
- Desired status is Sophomore or above with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and be physically capable of navigating rugged terrain for construction observation.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and own transportation or ability to use public transportation.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, part-time basis or internship for any employer without restriction.

- Preference may be given to students who have completed a previous internship with Bolton & Menk.
Responsibilities
- Assist on civil engineering projects with tasks involving civil engineering, planning and design.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Assist with construction observation, performing construction staking, and performing construction administration duties.
- Work on various reports, complete design calculations, write specifications, and review shop drawings.
