About The Position

Volta is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Senior Land Agent to support land acquisition and right-of-way activities for energy and infrastructure projects. The role involves working directly with landowners, stakeholders, and project teams to negotiate agreements and secure land rights needed for project development. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator, skilled negotiator, and relationship builder who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The position can be performed remotely and requires regular travel to project sites, including weekly travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in land acquisition, right-of-way, real estate, or contract negotiations.
• Experience in renewable energy, oil and gas, transmission, pipelines, or BESS projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and evaluate land acquisition and right-of-way opportunities for energy and infrastructure projects.
• Engage with landowners and stakeholders to negotiate and secure leases, easements, rights-of-way, and other land agreements.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with landowners, clients, and community stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal project teams to support project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Maintain accurate records of landowner communications, negotiations, agreements, and project activities.
• Identify and proactively address land-related challenges to support efficient project execution.
• Ensure activities align with applicable regulations, client requirements, and company standards.
