About The Position

SEKISUI Aerospace is continuing to grow and is currently accepting applications for upcoming 2nd Shift Laminator I needs at their Sumner location. This role involves performing a variety of techniques to laminate composite components according to drawings and Standard Work Instruction (SWI).

Requirements

Ability to read and understand detailed instructions and follow demonstrated steps.
Basic understanding of process specifications.
Acute attention to detail.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Basic math and computer skills.
One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in composite manufacturing a plus.
Requires handing objects of up to 50 lbs.
Lifting pushing, pulling, and bending.
Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime).
Must meet (ITAR) export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Experience in composite manufacturing a plus.

Responsibilities

Lay-up composite materials on mandrels according to the manufacturing plan and standard work instructions (SWI).
Wrap mold with composite materials, in preparation for curing process, to form composite parts.
Check for accuracy in all prior documentation of manufacturing planning; reporting all discrepancies and schedule concerns to the supervisor.
Verify materials being used are according to manufacturing plan.
Verify part ID tag and sign off on work performed.
Adhere to schedules and time allowances, takt time, for production requirements.
