Requirements

High School education or GED preferred.
Two years supervision experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Demonstrated technical work proficiency in the department assigned to.
Basic computer skills.
This position must meet (ITAR) export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

Provide direction and scheduling to team members in their daily activities.
Assign work, give directions, and monitor work progress.
Handle product movement and dispatch coordination.
Effectively communicate needs, priorities, and issues to the Supervisor, relevant departments, logistics, engineering, and production management, including those on different shifts.
Promote flow and pull of products and information to internal and ultimately external customers.
Identify, investigate, and resolve issues.
Train and orient new employees on company standards and procedures.
Implement 5S tools and reduce variation in the work environment.
Develop employees’ continuous improvement abilities.
Use and develop visual systems so that no problems are hidden. Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior.
Ensure company goals and objectives are being met by each employee and provide constructive feedback.
