About The Position

Laminator assistants perform a variety of tasks to support operations. They report to laminator supervisors. Duties include following all plant safety, quality, product safety, and other rules and procedures. They help operators prepare rolls for splices and order changes, and perform other crew member duties during break periods as needed. They work with other associates to change flute rolls when roll changes are needed and assist other crew members with the daily cleaning of the machine. They prepare top sheets for the manufacturing process, and daily empty all waste containers in the laminator department, including those in the supervisors’ office. They will train on and learn all laminator crew positions to be able to perform those jobs during vacation, call-in, and/or other absence situations. They help clean any and all machine components, and unload rollstock from rail cars and trucks as needed. They keep the truck area empty of rollstock, participate in and perform rollstock inventories, and unload, receive, and store raw materials in the proper areas. They perform assigned inspections and tests and complete accurate records, and perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
