About The Position

The Laminator Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining lamination equipment to apply protective or decorative films, foils, or facings to Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) sheets, blocks, or panels. This role ensures product quality, adherence to specifications, and efficient production while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, lamination, or the EPS industry preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders.
  • Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machine operation and troubleshooting.
  • Attention to detail and strong quality control focus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for long periods.
  • Understanding of workplace safety regulations and proper PPE usage.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor lamination machines to bond EPS products with various facing materials (e.g., aluminum foil, paper, plastic films, or specialty coatings).
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure uniform lamination and adherence to specifications.
  • Load raw materials (films, adhesives, EPS panels) into the machine.
  • Ensure materials are aligned correctly and maintain inventory of lamination supplies.
  • Handle and stack laminated products safely for further processing or packaging.
  • Inspect finished laminated EPS products for defects, bubbles, wrinkles, or delamination issues.
  • Make real-time adjustments to address production issues.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and work with maintenance teams for necessary repairs.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures, including handling adhesives, solvents, and heat sources.
  • Perform routine machine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate any process improvements or inefficiencies to supervisors.
