About The Position

Under the direction of the Lamination Department Direct Operators must be able to perform the duties at Feed In, Buttweld, or Exit End. This role ensures a safe work environment, positions full A-frames, aligns fabric edges to machines using sensors and controls, works with recording data into the computer, and uses multiple systems in the ICE stations. The operator starts and monitors the machine, inspects fabric for defects according to SOP/Work instructions, and stops the machine as needed. Responsibilities include changing rolls, performing style changes, clocking in and out of work orders, and cutting samples for the lab. The role also involves conforming to future changes with flatbed technology, ensuring daily production goals are met, receiving verbal instructions, getting and storing work tools, obtaining supplies, and maintaining good housekeeping in the work area.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work environment and identify training opportunities to reduce accidents and employee injuries.
  • Position full A-frame.
  • Align fabric edge to machine using machine sensors and controls, work with recording data into the computer, multiple system usage in the ICE stations
  • Start machine and give attention to fabric running; inspect fabric for defects, according to SOP/Work instructions. Stop Machine
  • Change rolls, perform style changes, clock in, and out work orders. Cut sample for lab.
  • Conform to future changes coming with flatbed.
  • Ensure that daily production goals
  • Receive verbal instructions, get work tools, store them as well as get supplies
  • Maintain good housekeeping in work area
