About The Position

The Lamination Operator ensures the proper, efficient, and safe operation of the lamination machine. The Lamination Operator will document and communicate to the department Manager all production data.

Requirements

  • Safely packaging finished products while ensuring quality standards and production requirements are met.
  • Preparing packaging materials, inspecting product quality, performing required documentation, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Working closely with production operators during machine start-ups, shutdowns, product changes, and routine manufacturing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely, completing daily safety audits, preventing accidents and increasing the safety environment of the work area
  • Work in a self-directed/Team environment
  • Understand and troubleshoot all incoming material/processes/equipment
  • Focus on Housekeeping of your work area. Responsible for a clean and organized handoff from shift to shift
  • Understand and operate material conveyance machinery
  • Identify quality aspects of products and process used to meet customer needs
  • Align foam with composite or vinyl panel and understand assembly process
  • Work cooperatively with supervisor, lead, and co-workers
  • Understand adhesive process and assist with handling glue drums
  • Assist/perform and understand profile changeovers and line set ups
  • Rotates between all positions on the lamination line including sorting, inspecting, assembling, and packaging of product.
  • Able to perform proper startup/shutdown procedures for line
