About The Position

Ledcor Highways Ltd. is seeking year-round Labourers to join their guard rail crew and contribute to keeping Alberta’s highways safe. This is a stable, long-term career opportunity focused on local community contribution, with no camp or LOA provided. Applicants local to the work locations may be given preference. The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and may require shift work, on-call duties, and night shifts.

Requirements

• Successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Physically able to perform demanding outdoor tasks and comfortable working at heights.
• Strong knowledge and use of hand and power tools.
• Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Provide a 3-year driver’s abstract.

Nice To Haves

• ESC Fall Protection ticket is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform various highway maintenance tasks, including the repair and installation of guard rails and highway signs using various hand tools, post pounders, tampers, augers, drills, ladders, and other elevated work platforms.
• Assist with traffic control procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Perform other road maintenance duties as required.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
