About The Position

The Maintenance Aide position at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a full-time, year-round role within the Buildings & Areas department. This non-exempt position involves a variety of maintenance tasks, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure the cleanliness and functionality of resort facilities. The role requires a self-motivated individual who can work unsupervised, recognize maintenance needs, and perform tasks efficiently and safely. This position is customer-oriented, requiring a neat appearance and positive attitude.

Requirements

Minimum 18 years of age.
Neat in appearance and positive attitude.
Must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
Must be able to recognize projects that need attention.
Valid driver's license.
Strong skier or snowboarder.
Skill with most power and hand tools.
High School Diploma.
Applicable work experience given high consideration.
Basic knowledge of Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, and Electrical systems is valuable.

Responsibilities

Stock and clean on-mountain restrooms.
Perform building maintenance under manager supervision, including HVAC and appliance repair.
Keep supervisor informed of arising problems.
Take initiative in finding and solving everyday maintenance issues.
Remove snow and ice from assigned areas.
Remove and properly dispose of garbage.
Operate heavy equipment when needed, such as forklifts, ATVs, and snowmobiles.
Maintain exterior cleanliness of assigned buildings, including sweeping, air cleaning, and power washing.
Properly prepare surfaces prior to painting and complete painting jobs from start to finish, including sanding, scraping, choosing the correct paint, and proper clean-up.
Maintain tool room inventory, sharpening and cleaning tools as necessary.
Assist in upkeep and inventories of lightbulbs, paint, and other stocked items.
Change light bulbs and ballasts.
Perform plumbing repairs using mechanical and electric snakes and minor plumbing part replacement.
Assist Groundskeepers in early morning rounds and with subsequent rounds on heavy snow days.
