About The Position

SES Construction and Fuel Services LLC is expanding its workforce and is seeking a Laborer to join our team. The laborer will play a crucial role in a safe and efficient construction site.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn from more experienced craft to become more proficient and knowledgeable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate the ability to finish tasks safely, accurately, and promptly.
• Knowledge of standard hand and power tools and how to use them safely and correctly.
• Basic construction experience.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Basic carpentry skills.
• Able to relay and receive information from field management needed for the current project/task.
• Strong work ethic.
• Good attitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to stay on task efficiently, safely, and flexibly.
• Maintain a constant state of mental alertness and situational awareness.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to, hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection.
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust vision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that work areas are clean, safe, and ready for construction activities by removing debris, hazards, and obstacles to create a suitable environment.
• Handle tools, raw materials, and equipment. Load and unload items as needed for construction tasks.
• Digging, Compacting Earth, and Backfilling Holes by performing manual labor, including digging trenches, filling pits, compact soil and backfill excavated areas.
• Operate construction off road vehicles.
• Follow safety protocols while using equipment.
• Take direction from supervisors and follow construction plans.
• Assist heavy equipment operator and other skilled workers.
• Assist in creating a positive and safe work environment.
• Complete assigned training in a timely fashion.
• Be coachable and learn from team members.
