About The Position

Denali is looking for a dependable, safety-minded Facility Laborer to support daily operations at our Staten Island facility. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, operating tools and equipment, and contributing to a team. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions
  • Ability to complete physically demanding work throughout the shift
  • Comfort working around yard waste, food waste, machinery, dust, and outdoor conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Basic mechanical ability or an interest in learning equipment maintenance is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time and prepared to begin work at 7:00 AM.
  • Complete assigned daily production, cleaning, and facility-support tasks.
  • Remove plastics and other contaminants from yard-waste and food-waste loads.
  • Shovel and move materials as needed.
  • Clean designated equipment using a pressure washer.
  • Perform general cleanup and janitorial duties throughout the facility.
  • Fuel equipment, clean air filters and radiators, and grease required service points.
  • Assist the Production Manager with moving equipment, cleaning work areas, and other operational needs.
  • Inspect equipment before use and complete required safety checks.
  • Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, and needed repairs.
  • Assist facility mechanics with basic equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, air compressors, steam-cleaning equipment, and other facility equipment.
  • Maintain assigned tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Complete production reports, equipment inspection forms, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Request needed tools, parts, supplies, and materials.
  • Travel to other company facilities or work locations when assigned.
  • Assist with emergency response when necessary.
  • Participate in fire-response training and respond to facility incidents when required.
