COST of Wisconsin is looking for a Shop & Yard Laborer / Driver to join our team! This is a hands-on role supporting our shop, yard, production facility, shipping and receiving operations, equipment maintenance, and construction projects. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Satisfactory driving record.
Ability to successfully complete required DOT physical and drug testing.
Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

Nice To Haves

Automotive mechanic training or related technical education.
2+ years of automotive mechanic experience.
Construction, manufacturing, equipment maintenance, or shop experience.
Forklift operating experience.
OSHA-10 safety training or experience.
Experience with trucks, automotive lifts, hydraulic equipment, or other machinery.

Responsibilities

Help diagnose, dismantle, repair, and maintain tools, machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
Operate company vehicles and forklifts as needed.
Support shipping and receiving by loading and unloading materials, equipment, and vehicles.
Prepare, move, organize, and stage materials and equipment for production and construction projects.
Inspect incoming and outgoing equipment and maintain our color-tag quality-control system.
Keep materials, tools, equipment, and supplies organized and accounted for.
Safely operate drills, saws, tape measures, and other hand and power tools.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop, yard, and storage areas.
Assist with emergency and time-sensitive repairs when needed.
Work closely with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments to accomplish the task at hand.
