About The Position
The Laborer supports the efficient processing and handling of ferrous metals within the scrap metal recycling facility. The Laborer will take part in sorting and preparing various ferrous materials to meet customer specifications. This is a Monday through Friday, family friendly schedule. We offer great wages and benefits.
Requirements
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to complete safety awareness training.
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
- Ability to work in a variety of roles.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Performs light maintenance work as needed.
- Ability to push and pull while sorting materials.
- Understands quality specifications for job and the customer being shipped to.
- Completes production reports as needed.
- Follows safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks of accidents and injuries.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
