About The Position

As a Laborer, you will assist with plant activities by performing a variety of duties. You will support production workflows, help meet production goals and customer deadlines, and contribute to a safe, clean, and organized work environment. The role involves handling sheets and finished products at machine feed and take-away sections, conducting quality checks, maintaining records, and assisting the production team as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a GED or high school diploma.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 20 pounds, frequently lift 20–35 pounds, and rarely lift more than 35 pounds; loads over 50 pounds require team or mechanical assistance.
• Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and exposure to a loud environment.
• Ability to adapt to continuous changes in company, customer, and people needs.

Responsibilities

• Locate and transport loads of sheets to the feed section of the machine.
• Place handfuls of sheets on the feed table and feed individual sheets into the machine.
• Remove finished product from the take-away section of the machine and stack it onto conveyors.
• Follow production schedules to meet production goals and client deadlines.
• Follow safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Conduct quality checks and inspect materials to ensure they meet Plant Quality Standards.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork as directed.
• Work with the production team to support the flow of materials and products.
• Assist the team as necessary and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and plant management.
