About The Position

As a Laborer, you will assist with plant activities by performing a variety of duties. The role supports the company’s focus on being a solutions provider and its core values of helping first, taking ownership, doing the right thing, and expecting excellence. The work takes place in a fast-paced environment that requires adapting to changing company, customer, and people needs.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a GED or high school diploma.
• Be able to frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds regularly; 20–35 pounds frequently; and more than 35 pounds occasionally. Loads over 50 pounds require team or mechanical assistance.
• Have vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Be able to work with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and exposure to a loud environment.

Responsibilities

• Locate and transport loads of sheets to the feed section of the machine; place handfuls of sheets on the feed table and feed individual sheets into the machine.
• Remove finished product from the machine’s take-away section and stack it onto conveyors.
• Follow production schedules to meet production goals and client deadlines.
• Follow safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and maintain a safe, organized work area.
• Conduct quality checks and inspect materials to ensure they meet Plant Quality Standards; maintain a clean working environment.
• Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork as directed.
• Work closely with the production team to support the flow of materials and products.
• Assist the team as needed and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and plant management.
