About The Position

Peak’s Shop Laborer safely and efficiently conducts daily shop assignments, including the repair, maintenance, servicing, and record keeping of assigned equipment. The role works closely with Shop Foremen or the Operations Manager to communicate equipment condition, repair status, and maintenance scheduling, supporting the safe and reliable operation of Peak Rentals assets. Travel is required, and the position is based in the Rentals business unit.

Requirements

Ability to understand and follow instructions from a truck driver or other company personnel.
Willingness and ability to work in all types of weather and conditions.
Physical capability to carry out duties safely and without difficulty.
Ability to work variable schedules or shifts and long hours.
Ability to work at heights.
Ability to individually lift a maximum of 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of oilfield rental equipment.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, identify, distribute, store, and stack materials, machinery, and tools in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Assist craft workers.
Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities.
Signal equipment operators to facilitate the alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
Tend pumps, compressors, and generators used to power tools and equipment or to heat and move materials.
Lubricate machinery, equipment, and parts.
Position, align, or level machines, equipment, or structures.
Clean and prepare work sites to eliminate possible hazards.
Clean tools, equipment, machinery, and work areas.
Perform stick-picking, shoveling, compacting, and backfilling excavations.
Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, ramps, and other temporary structures.
Operate hand and power tools, power construction equipment, and hoists or winches.
Communicate equipment condition, repair status, and maintenance scheduling to Shop Foremen or the Operations Manager.
