About The Position

The Laborer Leather/Canvas operates machinery, assembles products, and performs other tasks to support efficient production in a manufacturing environment. The role follows safety protocols and quality standards and works with a team to meet production goals. On-the-job training is provided.

The position reports to the Production Manager and has no direct reports. It is classified as non-exempt and is offered as full-time or part-time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production role is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment, including light industrial sewing machines, rivet machines, and clicker presses.
• Set up and adjust machines to ensure proper functioning.
• Assemble products or parts according to established guidelines and specifications.
• Read and use a tape measure to ensure specifications are met.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including tasks deemed necessary by the Production Manager.
