About The Position

Quality Steel Corporation is hiring a Laborer II to support plant operations. The role involves performing physical labor, moving products between stations, operating tools and equipment according to manufacturer specifications, and completing work within time budgets while meeting quality expectations. The Laborer II also performs quality control, reports defects to a supervisor, and maintains equipment and workstation cleanliness. Safety is a priority.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, humidity, and cold.
• Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks supporting plant operations.
• Ability to safely lift or move up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members to accomplish departmental goals and improve operations.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of manual labor experience.
• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Experience operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and meet or exceed quality expectations.
• Inspect equipment before the start of each shift.
• Perform physical labor tasks to support plant operations.
• Use hoists, conveyors, and/or mobile equipment to transport products between stations.
• Operate tools and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and meet time budgets for finished products.
• Perform quality control and report defects to the supervisor.
• Maintain equipment used and keep the workstation clean.
