About The Position

The Laborer / Facility Cleaner supports production and maintenance operations at a ground support equipment manufacturing facility. The role involves cleaning and preparing units, removing decals, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and handling scrap and unused materials for proper disposal or recycling. The employee also assists production and maintenance teams with basic tasks as directed, following safety protocols and quality standards to help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at $18.00 per hour. The description also notes that the airline industry operates 24/7 and team members must be flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Must communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Must have strong attention to detail, punctuality, and a solid work ethic.
• Must be willing to follow instructions and contribute to a clean, efficient workplace.
• Must be able to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including using iPads/tablets, computers, and mobile devices.
• Must effectively communicate with colleagues and clients in person and electronically.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be eligible to acquire required credentials and clearances, as applicable, including FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal credentials.
• Must be flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods in indoor or outdoor environments, as applicable.
• Ability to reach with arms, grasp with hands, push, pull, crawl, crouch in confined spaces, bend, stretch, squat, kneel, and climb or work at elevated heights, as needed.
• Ability to work around moderate and sometimes high noise levels, biohazards or chemicals, and outdoor elements.
• Ability to hear and respond to spoken voices and audible alarms.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands, or fingers.
• Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean units and equipment, including removing decals and preparing surfaces as directed.
• Clean and maintain designated work areas, including shop floors, workstations, and equipment surfaces.
• Collect scrap or unused materials and place them in designated containers for proper disposal or recycling.
• Assist production and maintenance teams with basic tasks as directed.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols and quality standards.
• Promptly report safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
