About The Position

ARL Bio Pharma provides analytical and microbiological testing for the pharmaceutical industry, serving pharmaceutical companies, compounding and hospital pharmacies, drug manufacturers, and raw material suppliers. Under the supervision of the laboratory supervisor, the Microbiology Lab Technician provides support tasks in a fast-paced laboratory setting. No prior experience or training is required; training is provided. This is a full-time position on the day shift, approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in a laboratory environment. The position requires following standard operating procedures, protocols, and safety standards and using appropriate protective equipment. The company states that it does not allow medical marijuana cards and conducts random drug testing on all employees.

Requirements

High school diploma and at least 2 years of work experience, or an associate degree in Microbiology or a related science field, or a bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related science field.
Communication proficiency.
Problem-solving and analysis skills.
Collaboration skills.
Ability to use appropriate safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

An associate degree or higher in Microbiology or a related science field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare media.
Clean glassware.
Manage inventory and ordering.
Clean and sanitize the laboratory.
Autoclave various reagents and supplies.
Assist laboratory personnel with daily activities to maintain scientific quality and compliance with SOPs, protocols, and safety standards.
Wear, maintain, and properly use appropriate safety equipment, including eye protection, gloves, a full-face respirator, and a lab coat.
