About The Position

ARL Bio Pharma provides analytical and microbiological testing for the pharmaceutical industry, serving pharmaceutical companies, compounding and hospital pharmacies, drug manufacturers, and raw material suppliers. The Laboratory Assistant (Micro) supports a fast-paced laboratory setting under the supervision of the laboratory supervisor. This role is presented as a stepping-stone into the pharmaceutical industry, with training provided and no prior experience or training required.

Requirements

• High school diploma with at least 2 years of working experience, or an associate degree in microbiology or a related science field, or a bachelor's degree in microbiology or a related science field.
• Communication proficiency.
• Ability to wear, maintain, and properly use safety equipment, including eye protection, gloves, a full-face respirator, and a lab coat.

Nice To Haves

• An associate degree or higher in microbiology or a related science field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare media.
• Clean glassware.
• Maintain inventory and place orders.
• Clean and sanitize the laboratory.
• Autoclave various reagents and supplies.
• Assist laboratory personnel with daily activities to maintain scientific quality and compliance with SOPs, protocols, and safety standards.
• Wear, maintain, and properly use appropriate safety equipment.
