About The Position

ARL Bio Pharma provides analytical and microbiological testing for the pharmaceutical industry, serving pharmaceutical companies, compounding and hospital pharmacies, drug manufacturers, and raw material suppliers. The Laboratory Support Specialist provides support tasks in a fast-paced laboratory setting under the supervision of the laboratory supervisor. The company provides training; no prior experience or training is required. This is a full-time position on the day shift, approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in a laboratory environment. The role offers paid training, a casual dress code, free medical and dental insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company match. Because of the vital nature of the work, medical marijuana cards are not allowed, and employees are subject to random drug testing. Requirements

• High school diploma with at least 2 years of work experience, or an associate degree in microbiology or a related science field, or a bachelor's degree in microbiology or a related science field.
• Communication proficiency.
• Problem-solving and analysis skills.
• Collaboration skills.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing; precise hand and finger manipulations; walking and stooping; lifting and moving up to 50 pounds; and seeing and hearing in the normal ranges, with or without correction.

Nice To Haves

• An associate degree or higher in microbiology or a related science field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare media.
• Clean glassware.
• Manage inventory and ordering.
• Clean and sanitize the laboratory.
• Autoclave various reagents and supplies.
• Assist laboratory personnel in daily activities to maintain scientific quality and compliance with SOPs, protocols, and safety standards.
• Wear, maintain, and properly use appropriate safety equipment, including eye protection, gloves, a full face respirator, and a lab coat.
