About The Position

The Laboratory Technician performs routine laboratory processes and follows routine protocols under close supervision. The role operates standard laboratory equipment and uses standard procedures for laboratory tests and preparation techniques. The technician also assists with laboratory maintenance, prepares solutions, orders supplies, and identifies and reports problems encountered during routine lab processes. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or graduation equivalent.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

• Inventory control proficiency at the awareness level.
• Laboratory equipment maintenance proficiency at the awareness level.
