About The Position

IDEXX is hiring a full-time Laboratory Technician to perform veterinary diagnostic laboratory work at its on-site lab in Westminster, Colorado. The position works across Sample Management and Parasitology, helping veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. IDEXX provides extensive on-the-job training, and laboratory experience is not required. The role calls for someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, values accuracy and teamwork, and wants to contribute to work that supports the health of pets and people. In Sample Management, the technician receives, prepares, and accessions veterinary samples—including blood, urine, feces, and biopsies—for analysis. The work includes removing specimens from transport bags, entering specimen data into a computer tracking system, racking and bundling samples for delivery to testing departments, and assisting with specimen storage and turnaround times. In Parasitology, the technician prepares fecal samples for analysis, moves them through the testing process, loads and unloads samples into automated analyzers, and uses microscopes and other diagnostic tools. The technician follows standard operating procedures to ensure samples are handled correctly and efficiently. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; shifts and hours may vary slightly based on business needs. Reliable attendance is an essential function of the role. The stated start date will fall between December 15 and December 31, 2026. The position may involve exposure to biohazards, agents known to cause zoonotic diseases, and hazardous chemicals.
