About The Position

This position is responsible for sample and reagent preparation and basic analytical testing. The role involves executing tests according to established methods, following company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Deviation and Change Control programs, and cGMP guidelines. Responsibilities include performing media preparation, routine testing, and basic physicochemical tests such as Appearance, pH, Specific gravity, TOC, conductivity, UV, FTIR, LOD, and ROI. The technician will also prepare test solutions, samples, and reagents, and standardize volumetric solutions. Maintaining inventory of mobile phases and solutions, performing equipment calibrations, and ensuring good housekeeping are also key duties. Accurate documentation in the Laboratory Information System or Certificate of Analysis, timely data entry, and efficient workflow management are essential. The role requires reporting and assisting in failure investigations, maintaining records, and communicating any potential delays or issues to management. Attending training sessions and adhering strictly to approved methods and SOPs are mandatory. The position also involves showing initiative for effective lab performance and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Code of Integrity policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science
  • 0-1 Year of demonstrated ability to work within a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and perform testing as per methods, following the company’s Standard Operating Procedures, Deviations and Change Control programs and cGMP guidelines.
  • Perform media preparation, routine testing as per clearly defined methods, following the company’s Standard Operating Procedures and cGMP guidelines.
  • Perform basic physicochemical testing such as but not limited to Appearance, pH, Specific gravity, TOC, conductivity, UV, FTIR, LOD, ROI, and various other wet chemistry testing techniques.
  • Prepare test solutions, sample, and or reagents as needed.
  • Prepare and standardize Test solutions, Standard solutions and Volumetric solutions.
  • Maintain mobile phase, solutions etc., for expiry and inventory.
  • Perform equipment and instrument calibrations/verification according to establish procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping, schedule and monitor housekeeping activities.
  • Ensure that work order documentation is complete in every aspect and all results are entered into the electronic Laboratory Information System or the Client’s Certificate of Analysis before submission to the QA reviewer.
  • Prioritize, schedule and plan daily work in order to maintain efficient workflow to assure completion of scheduled tasks and to meet established due dates.
  • Report and Assist in the failure investigations as instructed.
  • Record findings in standardized format, keeping all records and analyst notebook in good order.
  • Record data in timely manner.
  • Inform the Department Manager and/or Group/Scientific Leader, as far in advance as possible, if the assigned work order cannot be satisfactorily completed within established scheduled time and quality of work expectations.
  • Perform additional assigned lab duties and periodically update Department Manager and/or Group/Scientific Leader on the status.
  • Attend training sessions and inform the Department Manager and/or Group/Scientific Leader if there is any doubt regarding the ability to fulfill testing requirements satisfactorily.
  • Strictly follows the latest approved version of methods, SOPs, QA manuals unless authorized by Department Manager and/or Group/Scientific Leader in writing.
  • Show initiative in completing work orders and providing solutions for effective lab performance.
  • Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
