About The Position

Join Bureau Veritas as a Wet Chem Lab Technician and play a key role in supporting the analysis of mineral samples within a high-volume laboratory environment. Working alongside an experienced team, you’ll assist with sample analysis and the delivery of accurate results for our clients using classical and instrumental methods. Monday to Friday Single shift roster with 2 Hours overtime per week.

Nice To Haves

Previous laboratory experience is desirable, ideally within minerals, mining or a related industry.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate results.

Responsibilities

Weighing samples for digest methods
Digesting samples following methods (Aqua regia, Multi Acid Digest, Fusion) using chemicals that include but are not limited to Hydrochloric, sulfuric and nitric Acid.
Perform necessary checks and inspections on equipment’s.
Perform titrations and reading on ICP.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Ensure accurate weighing and recording of samples and results in Lims System.
Assist in delivering quality assay results within required turnaround times.
Adhere to all safety, quality and laboratory compliance requirements.
Support the laboratory supervisor and wider team with daily laboratory operations.
