About The Position

This position provides assistance with sample preparation and support to the laboratory staff. The role involves following all needed quality control documentation and procedures, with the ability to work independently in these areas.

Requirements

Ability to document work and maintain study documentation and laboratory records.
Ability to perform basic laboratory testing.
Ability to perform routine chemical procedures including sample preparation, sample homogenization, reagent preparation, and solution preparation.
Ability to use laboratory equipment appropriate for assigned tasks.
Ability to perform pipette calibrations in accordance with SOP and industry standards.
Ability to attend and participate in project and laboratory staff meetings.
Ability to plan assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments.
Ability to maintain supplies, including the ordering and organization of biomatrices and consumables.
Ability to contribute to a cohesive team environment by planning individual workload in coordination with team members and providing support as needed.
Ability to support process improvement initiatives.
Ability to maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment.
Ability to perform routine washing and disinfecting of laboratory glassware, equipment, and worktables.
Ability to assist with the duties of laboratory safety and compliance.
Ability to assist with all aspects of sample storage and disposition.
Ability to modify established procedures within specified guidelines.
Ability to perform other related duties as assigned.
Ability to interact with internal teams.
May work with potentially hazardous substances.
Mandatory immunizations and screening as required.
Overtime and weekend work as required.
Requires some standing and sitting for long periods of time, including working within a laboratory hood and at standing bench top.
Requires use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
