About The Position

The Laboratory Technician I supports laboratory operations in the TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) Department, which conducts Indoor Air Quality testing. Using general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in accordance with Eurofins Environment Testing America’s quality assurance programs and standard operating procedures, the technician maintains laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
High school Chemistry coursework and basic laboratory experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Responsible, reliable, and a good team player; comfortable with routine work and production work.
Good communication, organizational, and computer skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask.
Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak English.

Nice To Haves

Experience handling micropipettes and tweezers.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate and promote the company vision.
Prepare samples using methods that may include Bulk, AHERA, Soil, and Dust preparation.
Log in samples.
Perform equipment calibrations, daily balance checks, thermometer checks, and other basic laboratory activities.
Maintain, clean, and prepare glassware and other laboratory appliances for TEM sample preparation.
Stock laboratory supplies.
Conduct activities safely and efficiently.
Assist other laboratory areas as needed.
