About The Position
The Laboratory Technician I is responsible for completing sample preparation service activities including but not limited to normalized and volumetric aliquots, DNA/RNA purification, DNA/RNA quantifications, PBMC processing, whole blood fractionation, and other client specific procedures. The Laboratory Technician is accountable for performing and documenting all activities as prescribed in the corresponding SOPs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associates degree with 1+ year relevant professional lab experience OR HSD with 4+ years relevant experience
- Experience in a regulated laboratory environment preferred
- Must be able to work as a team as well as independently
- Demonstrate attention to detail
- Working knowledge of GxP requirements
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Responsibilities
- Perform all functions methodically and in accordance with SOPs.
- Independently operate laboratory equipment including but not limited to pipettes, automated liquid handlers, spectrophotometers, and centrifuges.
- Process and store biological samples per established protocols.
- Properly and accurately document processes and alert management of processing deviations.
- Register samples received for lab processing.
