About The Position
AGAT Laboratories is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Laboratory Technician with experience in Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) working out of our Dartmouth, NS facility. This is a position with a permanent status. The Laboratory Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our research and development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Experience with gas chromatography techniques (1-3 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of chromatographic theory and data interpretation.
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment and software related to gas chromatography.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Experience with complex sample matrices and method development.

Responsibilities
- Perform gas chromatography analyses on various samples according to established protocols.
- Prepare samples, standards, and reagents for analysis.
- Calibrate and maintain gas chromatography equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with quality standards.
- Analyze and interpret chromatographic data, generating accurate reports.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to gas chromatography.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain laboratory safety protocols and adhere to regulatory requirements.
