About The Position
This is a seasonal position with an anticipated end date of February 28th 2027 with the possibility of extension. Weekend availability will be required for this role.
Requirements
- Technical Diploma/degree in Science or equivalent experience required
- Knowledge of full laboratory processes
- Intermediate Computer Skills
- Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Experience with GC/MS/FID, IC, ICP, Microtox is an asset
Responsibilities
- Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions
- Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal
- Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot intermediate instruments
- Compile, verify and validate accurate data records
- Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications
- Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures
- Report results
- Other duties as assigned
