About The Position

Eurofins Agroscience Services (EAS) is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Laboratory Technician to work with their Chemistry departments. The EAS Easton, MD laboratory is the largest EAS laboratory with over 100 scientists servicing multiple portfolios and is the center for biological, toxicology, chemistry, and environmental fate contract research for North America. Successful candidates will be part of a large, diverse team collaborating to deliver high-quality research to key markets. This historic small town on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay offers a high quality of life with easy access to major cities such as Washington, DC, Baltimore, and Annapolis.

Requirements

Strong computer and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Associate’s degree in relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, environmental studies, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or other directly related field or degree with comparable coursework in the above areas.
In rare cases, comparable demonstrated competence and experience in the relevant area may be used to substitute in whole or in part for the Associate’s degree.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Familiarity and/or experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Completes work for research and development under cGMP and/or GLP guidelines for studies, documentation, etc.
Assists in conducting, monitoring and reporting studies to ensure data accuracy and report quality.
Provides basic analytical work on projects and studies using a range of analytical techniques and instruments.
