About The Position

Eurofins Agroscience Services (EAS) is seeking a temporary, full time Technician to work with our Residue Chemistry team in Columbia, MO. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • College lab classes or familiarity with lab environment preferred.
  • Depending on area of assignment, previous farm/gardening background/experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains clean laboratory conditions which include, but is not limited to, cleaning glassware, emptying trash, mopping floors, etc.
  • Disposes of and separates waste liquids according to established practices complying with OSHA regulations and SOPs.
  • Responsible for calibration of analytical instruments, maintaining storage units and lab supplies, and ensuring that equipment is available and in good working order.
  • May be required to move/transfer materials from one department to another; check in/out materials as requested by study personnel
  • Completes documentation legibly, timely, and accurately according to all regulatory requirements; maintains and completes equipment log books; documents all movement of materials during process of receipt, transfer, disposal, or archiving and distributes documents as required.
