Requirements
- MLT: Associates degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
- MT: Bachelor degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology from an accredited college or university.
- Or Bachelor degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training preferred.
Responsibilities
- Specimen processing
- Test performance
- Reporting test results
- Testing performed will include waived, moderate and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director
- Report results of all tests performed according to established procedures
- Participate fully in all quality control procedures
- Comply with quality assurance and quality management standards within the department as outlined by the department, JCAHO, CAP, CLIA and other applicable agencies
- Perform specimen collection as necessary
