About The Position
Jefferson Community College, located in Watertown, New York, is seeking qualified chemistry instructors for lecture and laboratory positions within the Lab Sciences Department, beginning January 2022. The college serves students in credit courses for transfer or career purposes and offers workshops for professional training and personal development. This is a pooled search to develop a pool of qualified applicants for part-time teaching vacancies.
Requirements
- Master's degree in chemistry.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to foster inclusion.
- Ability to promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry (in extraordinary cases).
Responsibilities
- Teaching lecture/laboratory assignments in Introduction to Chemistry 1, and/or General Chemistry 1.
- Interacting and communicating effectively with diverse populations.

Benefits
- Level A - $665/credit hour
- Level B - $785/credit hour after teaching 6 semesters at Jefferson
