About The Position
The Flint Animal Cancer Center at Colorado State University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Researcher for a part-time, temporary, non-student hourly position. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Immunology, or a closely related field
- Prior laboratory experience in cancer biology, immunology, or immunotherapy research
- Basic proficiency with laboratory techniques such as sterile technique and data recording

Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory research in cancer immunology (primary duty, ~80%), including performing mammalian cell culture, immunological assays, and experimental procedures to support studies in canine cancer and adoptive immunotherapy
- Operate and analyze data from advanced laboratory instrumentation, such as flow cytometry and confocal microscopy, ensuring accurate documentation and interpretation of experimental results
- Maintain detailed and organized research records, including experimental protocols, data collection, and reporting findings to the supervising postdoctoral fellow and research team
- Support laboratory operations and compliance (~20%), including stocking supplies, preparing reagents, washing glassware, and ensuring proper sterilization through autoclaving
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary research team, contributing to ongoing projects, maintaining a safe laboratory environment, and adhering to institutional and regulatory standards
