About The Position

Astrion is hiring a Laboratory Manager for the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. The position is full-time, with travel as needed. The estimated salary range is $75,000–$130,000, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

The Laboratory Manager oversees daily laboratory operations, quality control, equipment and inventory, and the development of methods, programs, and technologies intended to improve laboratory efficiency and results.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a Public Trust suitability determination.
• Seven or more years of operational experience in an En Route or Terminal environment.
• High school diploma or General Equivalence Diploma and completion of a related technical training curriculum.
• Programming language experience with Python, Java, SQL, PowerShell, Batch, and HTML.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Amazon Chime, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Wireshark, and Cisco Prime.
• Experience with ITSM software: GitLab, JIRA, and ServiceNow.
• Hardware troubleshooting experience with Dell, HP, and NVIDIA servers; Cisco, Arista, Juniper, NVIDIA, and Broadcom routers and switches; laptops; printers; and mobile devices such as Zebra scanners, iPhones, and Android devices.
• TCP/IP networking knowledge, including OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, RSTP, BGP, Cisco IOS, JunOS, and 802.11.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily lab operations, including scheduling, workflow, and productivity monitoring.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Manage procurement, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment, and maintain adequate inventory.
• Develop and implement new methods, programs, and technologies to enhance laboratory efficiency and results.
