Laboratory Manager -Straub Benioff Medical Center
About The Position
The Laboratory Manager at Straub Benioff Medical Center leads specimen processing operations, identifies opportunities for improvement, and implements action plans. The role supports the Laboratory Director in achieving organizational goals, including hiring, developing, and inspiring employees. It interacts with clients, patients, employees, and business units while providing customer-focused service. The manager reviews business indicators, optimizes processes, maximizes profitability, and champions safety, compliance, and quality control. This is a full-time, on-site, exempt position scheduled for 40 or more hours as needed. The posted annual salary range is $95,000–$120,000, and the role is bonus eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a physical science, such as Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology.
- At least 5 years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience.
- Supervisor experience.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints and without close supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Managerial experience.
- Degree in Medical Laboratory Science and a Hawaii State license.
- Applicable laboratory certification, such as ASCP or AMT.
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory or other laboratory service organization.
