About The Position

This role is for a Laboratory position within a hospital setting, focusing on inpatient services. The primary responsibilities include accessing clinical pathology specimens and drawing bloods following established policies for positive patient identification for both inpatients and outpatients. The role also involves accessioning all incoming specimens. Success in this position requires manual dexterity, keen observational skills, and sound judgment for accurate patient identification prior to venipuncture.

Requirements

• Trained Phlebotomist
• A minimum of one (1) year experience within the last three (3) years
• Graduated from phlebotomy program
• 2-3 years’ experience in an acute care setting

Nice To Haves

• Experience working independently with complex specimens preferred
