About The Position

Alfred H Knight has an opportunity for a Laboratory Customer Service Advisor to join their Laboratory team based in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Laboratory Customer Service Advisor is responsible for coordinating with internal and external customers to ensure that instructions are documented accurately, customer expectations are maintained, all samples are referenced, and data is entered in a manner that reflects the highest standard of quality. Alfred H Knight is a totally independent, family owned business spanning five generations, with a global network of strategically placed offices and laboratories. They provide independent inspection, analysis and consultancy services to the metals and minerals, solid fuels and agriculture industries, delivering knowledge and professionalism in all aspects of weighing, sampling and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and sorting incoming packages.
• Organizing and prioritizing sample entry tasks.
• Data entry of incoming samples into Laboratory information management system.
• Communicating with customers, at various stages of the analytical process.
• Coordinate and communicate with other AHK locations.
• Communicating with Customers to determine analytical needs or to obtain information required to ensure that correct information is received for the Laboratory.
• Create and communicate customer quotations for submitted samples.
• Creation and communication of Certificate of Analysis and Invoices.
• Management of sample archives and sample returns.
