About The Position
The Environmental Analysis Facility at the Desert Research Institute is seeking a part-time Student hourly Laboratory Assistant. Under direct supervision, the position prepares filter media for field sampling and performs gravimetric and thermal optical carbon analysis of filters. The incumbent also assists with creating run lists and data files and archiving filters.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of college completed, or equivalent work experience.
- Once trained, ability to work with little supervision.
- Must pass safety training during orientation.
- Ability to move or lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds and to sit or stand for long periods.
Nice To Haves
- Background in a physical science.
