As a Lab Assistant, you help support diagnosis and treatment by collecting, preparing, and processing patient specimens—including blood, urine, and tissue—for diagnostic testing. The role requires a foundational understanding of laboratory procedures, careful attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. You will help maintain department workflow and efficiency, communicate courteously with patients and coworkers, and collaborate with laboratory and hospital department teams. You will process and organize specimens for distribution to laboratory departments and handle testing sent to external laboratories, including preparing the required paperwork and packaging according to procedures.
