About The Position
The Laboratory Assistant at Petaluma Valley Hospital in Petaluma, California, processes laboratory specimens and performs clerical duties. The role maintains daily quality control data, assists with laboratory equipment maintenance, and supports Medical Technologists with clinical laboratory tests. It also completes send-outs, answers laboratory questions from hospital units, performs phlebotomy, and assists with collecting other types of specimens. This is a full-time position with 8-hour variable shifts.
Requirements
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire, or California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of college coursework or training.
- One year of experience as a clinical laboratory assistant in an acute care laboratory.
