About The Position

Bureau Veritas is a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services. This role is for a Laboratory Analyst (Analyst 1) to join their laboratory operations team in Mississauga. The Analyst will perform analytical testing and laboratory procedures to produce accurate, reliable data that supports client requirements and quality standards. Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing samples, operating laboratory equipment and instrumentation, maintaining accurate records, and following established procedures to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on time. The role involves contributing to a high-quality testing environment while supporting continuous improvement, compliance, and strong laboratory practices. This is a permanent, onsite role, expected to work on-site five days per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze samples by following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring all work is completed accurately, safely, and within required turnaround times.
  • Learn and operate laboratory instrumentation and equipment, including balances, pipettes, centrifuges, mixers, vacuum pumps, and specialized analytical instruments, while maintaining equipment and preparing reagents required for testing.
  • Apply quality control procedures throughout the testing process, ensuring accurate record keeping, proper sample handling, and the prevention of cross-contamination or sample mix-ups. Use laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and internal quality platforms to document and track work.
  • Maintain clean, organized workspaces, monitor laboratory supplies, update training records, and proactively communicate any sample issues, delays, or procedural deviations to your supervisor.
  • Actively participate in safety initiatives, laboratory meetings, audits, and ongoing process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and service delivery.
