About The Position

Responsible for clean up of the vessel and other areas of the shipyard.

Requirements

• 1 year prior experience working in a shipyard/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform general labor work, in diverse weather conditions and confined spaces, working at heights as needed.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Clean roadways, offices, decks, living quarters, tanks on vessels and various areas of the shipyard.
• Operate street sweeper and vacuum truck as needed in cleaning roadways.
• Moving and discarding of trash from the vessel and other areas.
• Install temporary lighting and ventilation for all vessels and modules on the shipyard.
• Clean, wax and grease all tilt beams for launching.
• Cut and maintain grass throughout the facility.
• Oil, fuel, pump and pressure the wash tanks on vessels.
• General cleaning tasks involved in the maintenance of buildings and job sites.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by using solvents.
• Clean and fill drinking water containers throughout the shipyard.
• Assist security as needed with logging trucks into the facility.
