Provides technical assistance to management staff. Prepares agency position papers, maintains, and analyzes data, presents agencys case to Central Management Services (CMS) Labor Relations liaison, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) representatives, Office of Executive Inspector General (OEIG), and others. Prepare for and participate in Labor/Management meetings and collective bargaining. Establish and maintain working relationships to include Union representatives, IDVA supervisory staff, and other appropriate internal and external entities. Perform other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college.
  • Requires two (2) years of professional human resource experience.
  • Requires ability to pass a background check.
  • Requires use of agency-supplied equipment (mobile phone, laptop, etc.).
  • Requires ability to attend seminars, conferences, and trainings to stay current on methods, tools, ideologies, or other industry related topics relevant to the job duties.
  • Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
  • Overtime is a condition or employment, and you may be required to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years professional experience with the tenets of progressive discipline, harmonious employee relations, collective bargaining or structured discipline, grievance procedures, and application of detailedpersonnel policies and procedures.
  • Two (2) years professional experience conducting investigations, interviewing witnesses, and conflict resolution.
  • Two (2) years professional oral and written communication experience communicating key information and complicated scenarios with sufficient detail and clarity to be easily understood and utilized throughout a lengthyprocess involving multiple levels of grievance and review.
  • Two (2) years professional experience in gathering and organizing information and source documents in electronic and/or physical filing systems and databases.
