About The Position

Tnemec Company, Inc. is looking for a Labeling Technician to support our production operations by ensuring labels, printed materials, and packaging supplies are prepared accurately and delivered on time. This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Labeling Technician, you will produce labels using a variety of printing machines, support labeling operations, maintain inventory of labels and printing supplies, and work closely with production, shipping, scheduling, vendors, and other internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Requirements

  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and outside vendors
  • Ability to manage inventory, supplies, and multiple priorities
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Continuous standing or walking for up to six hours per day
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 100 pounds
  • Operation of material handling equipment
  • Operation of various printing equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Tnemec container and packaging requirements is helpful
  • Knowledge of the Oracle system is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Produce product labels for all production departments based on the production schedule
  • Monitor, maintain, and order label inventory and essential printing supplies
  • Maintain printing equipment and coordinate repairs with outside service providers
  • Deliver labels and printed materials to departments, remote locations, and vendors
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure the correct containers are available when needed
  • Use systems and software including Microsoft Office, email, Oracle, internet tools, and printing software
  • Operate powered industrial equipment and other material handling equipment
  • Create booklets and specialty documents for a variety of departments
  • Work closely with production personnel to ensure printed materials and labeled containers are delivered on time
  • Assemble, operate, and maintain label application equipment while supporting labeling output
  • Support inventory and supply requests for production, labs, janitorial, marketing, vendors, and remote locations
  • Fill container requests for shipping, vendors, transfer trucks, and distribution centers
  • Help organize and rotate stock to support incoming shipments and production needs
  • Suggest improvements in job methods, equipment, and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Person or Supervisor.
