About The Position

WMC is seeking a Lab Testing Technician to perform plastics laboratory tests on raw materials, blended materials, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met. The technician uses laboratory equipment and adheres to the Quality Management System. Training is provided. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:45 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Benefits are available after 60 days of full-time employment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products and processes to evaluate quality.
Ability to follow processes to ensure repeatability.
Accuracy and attention to detail, including verifying work for accuracy and completeness.
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks with little to no supervision.
Ability to communicate processes followed thoroughly and effectively.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Procure and set up equipment, instruments, and materials used for scheduled tests.
Perform routine laboratory tests and examinations, assist with test setup and material collection, and log data.
Compile data and report out-of-specification materials.
Visually inspect finished products.
Operate a plastic injection mold machine for testing plastic.
Maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment.
Clean and sterilize the laboratory and laboratory equipment.
Prepare and maintain routine laboratory records.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety standards.
